Our Story
A family of makers.
Built on a long tradition of cabinetry, kitchens, studies, bars and vanities — and on the simple belief that life is too short not to enjoy what you do.
Who We Are
A group of master craftsmen who love a creative idea.
We're a small team of makers who'd rather take on a hard brief than repeat an easy one. From our Stanford workshop we chase what excites us — industrial design, Steampunk, epoxy and stone — and pour that energy into every commission.

A note from the founder
"At the age of 57 I realised life is just too short not to enjoy what you do. So we created a place to have fun creating stunning pieces — and leave a legacy. Oh, and my wife is the real hero who changed my interest from buildings to furniture, and from nowhere to the Overberg."
— Willem Brandt, Founder
What's In A Name
Brandt. Möbel. Kreatif.
The Brandt family originates from Austria, settling in German South West Africa, where strong craft traditions ran deep — grandfather Dirk "Dick" Brandt was a master leatherworker. Möbel is furniture; Kreatif is "creative" with a K — a hint at what we try to do here. Don't expect any German to be spoken — but you're welcome to greet.
Come and have a coffee in the workshop.
